Mid-levels West
The Mid-levels West district is a highly sought-after residential area located just above Central on Hong Kong Island. Given its proximity to the Central Business District such that residents can walk to their workplace in under 10 minutes via the Central-Mid-levels Escalator, the Mid-levels West area is a popular choice of locals and expatriates alike. The main thoroughfares are Conduit Road, Robinson Road, Caine Road and Bonham Road. Supermarkets and convenience stores can be found on Robinson Road, Caine Road, and Bonham Road.
Popular residential developments with larger layouts for families include Robinson Place, Grand Panorama, Seymour Place, Goldwin Heights, 80 Robinson Road, and Robinson Heights. Singles or couples may prefer Gramercy, Alassio, The Icon, or older single tower developments with renovated interiors.
Other highlights: The Central-Mid-levels Escalator is an outdoor covered escalator system that runs from IFC, Soho, and all the way to Conduit Road with multiple exits at the various main thoroughfares and smaller roads such as Mosque Street and Prince's Terrace. The "Morning Trail" is a popular hiking route in the area leading to the Peak, which can be access by getting off at the last exit on Conduit Road of the Mid-levels Escalator, and walking westward to the very end.
