Ap Lei Chau / Aberdeen
On the southwest coast of Hong Kong is the island of Ap Lei Chau or Duck Tongue Island. A highway over Aberdeen Harbour connects the island with Aberdeen.
Once a center for building junk ships, the area now consists of mainly high-rise developments. Of which, there are a few luxury developments that were completed in recent years, including Larvotto and Marinella, that offer a comprehensive range of amenities. There are also established developments such as South Horizons and Sham Wan Towers. Many apartments have spectacular sea views. The MTR South Island Line is currently under construction, and is expected to be completed in July 2015. With its completion, residents can benefit from added convenience.
